Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow technique that involves manually implanting pigment into the skin to create natural-looking hairstrokes. Using a handheld tool with a series of fine needles, helps create thin, hair-like incisions in the brow. These help create the illusion of a more defined and fuller-looking brow. With the machine, we then deposit pigment in between the microbladed hairstrokes, creating small pixels throughout. Preparation: The brow area is cleaned and any makeup or residue is removed to ensure proper dye absorption.
Colour Selection: During the consultation the brow specialist will select a suitable dye colour that matches the desired shade for the eyebrows. This choice is often based on the person’s hair colour, skin tone, and personal preferences.
Brow Mapping: The brow specialist will then perform brow mapping which is a technique that is used to help find the ideal brow shape on your face by taking multiple measurements and utilising facial proportions.
Application: The dye is applied carefully to the eyebrow hairs using a brush or applicator.
Processing Time: The dye is left on the eyebrows for a specific amount of time to allow the colour to develop. The longer the dye is left on, the more intense the colour will be.
Removal and Aftercare: Once the processing time is up, the dye is gently removed, and the eyebrows are cleaned. Aftercare instructions include avoiding water contact or excessive sweating for a short period after the treatment.
Results: The brows will appear darker and more defined immediately after the treatment. The colour will gradually fade over the course of a few weeks due to natural shedding of the eyebrow hairs and skin exfoliation.
It’s important to note that brow dye is temporary and will eventually fade. The longevity of the colour depends on factors such as the individual’s skin type, skincare routine, and how often the brows come into contact with water and cleansing products. However you can expect your hybrid brow colour to last up to 7 days on the skin and up to 7 weeks on the brow hair.
